Being a somewhat practical person, I immediately thought of the talented Finbar women who seem to be able to whip up anything. I shall make mermaid tail enquiries this week.

I have to admit the Daryl Hannah image was one of the first things that sprang into my mind ... but DSO, what does your comment mean in relation to a blogger such as I, who's happy to put the minutiae of my life here, albeit without spunky mermaid tail - or as yet video footage?

When I look at the Fiji video footage of the Hannah aka Mermaid Ariana, I'm reminded of a sadly insightful observation once made by a friend of my wife's: "that no matter what f***d up thing you can think of, there's someone out there doing it". The internet has provided the proof of that assertion and many of them feel compelled to announce it through their own site. The realism of Mermaid Ariana makes me wonder, what do Hyper-real mermaids eat? Will "Hannah" do a Daryl Hannah and tear apart a lobster with her teeth? Will she strain the krill from the seas through gritted teeth? Or is she just your regular contrived pescatorian?

What worries me most is, what are those people doing that don't even feel that they can put it on the internet?
