Allanah Hill discount dresses...... I also have been burnt. The thing is that her stuff is so fantastic because of the amazing experience of her shop and wonderful staff that put stuff together really well and make sure you look 'perfect'. Once the whole lot is thrown into a bag of rags and you put on one random piece - which is missing bits - it's not even worth $10!

So, a bargain is not always a bargain, unless of course you are looking for something and the bargain fits the bill. Good on you for not succumbing. I succumbed to 2 pieces of clothing yesterday. A bright pink full length linen skirt, good for dagging around the house on hot days ( I don't wear shorts ) and a chiffony floaty overtop, $5 each, a bargain!!! Did I need them, probably not, but for 10 bucks, what the hell!!My best bargain was a Perry Cutten jacket, which I found at an op shop and had for years. I love op shops and looking for something different. My love of a bargain comes from being "poor " when first married and having to dress Deb with op shop clothes.I remember paying 10 cents for a knitted jumper AND $5 for a treadle Singer sewing machine, which these days is a collector's item.
