Health and Fitness Fact or Fiction is dedicated to trawling through the countless exercise and lifestyle articles we’re bombarded with in magazines, and sorting them into a system that’s rated according to how user friendly they are.
Your tour guide is Emma Honey, a personal trainer based in Melbourne, Australia. Her other qualifications include yoga teacher, life coach, mother and pet owner. Although she spends her days constructing ways for her clients to get fit, Emma confesses to a total addiction to magazine articles about fitness, but is often disappointed with the content.
The list of magazines varies, depending on each issue, but the monthly glossies are usually Cleo, Cosmo, In Style, and New Woman. While the idea is definitely to include some humour in the critique of the articles, all information given is as sensible and accurate as possible, and with no intention of selling anything.
Every Friday (theoretically, anyway) a newsletter with five easy to implement health tips gets published. If you’d like to ensure your copy, you can subscribe using the link in the sidebar.
You can also read Emma’s rundown of life as she gets up at 5am, tries to balance being a business woman with domestic life, and find the elusive perfect school lunch - all before a decent bedtime!
